Megan has been with HRP in various capacities since 2018. She is currently serving as HRP’s Manager of Operations and as an IACUC Consultant.
As an undergraduate at the University of Connecticut, Megan spent several years working as an animal care intern in an IACUC research lab. During this time, she performed daily husbandry practices, observed reproduction efforts, and assisted with post-mortem tissue sampling.
Megan went on to pursue her Master’s in Public Health and later worked as an Occupational Health Surveillance Specialist in a state veterans’ facility. Here, she helped the facility comply with COVID-19 testing requirements, organized employee vaccination clinics, and compiled and analyzed data for state/federal reporting. Megan quickly gained an appreciation for all areas of compliance, particularly policy/SOP development, training, education, and protecting vulnerable populations.
